Artwork Specifications (Print Advertising)
Mechanicals: To ensure the accurate printing of your ad we ask that you follow these guidelines:Artwork and images for ads must be supplied at 266-300 DPI or better. Lower resolution graphics will not print as sharply. Images taken from the Web are usually 72 DPI and are not recommended for print.
A Quark document is the preferred format to submit files. We can read InDesign and Pagemaker files, but they have a tendency to cause problems in the RIP and may not output accurately. You may want to convert these files to PDF.
Make certain all artwork has been converted to either TIFF or EPS. For tiffs please make sure the file is flattened (not layered), is converted to CMYK color mode, and saved in Mac byte order. RGB images will not print properly.
If you're sending a Quark document please make sure all your images and fonts are included with your file. Images that are not included with your file will preview onscreen, but will not output.
If your file contains a bleed, please allow 1/8² (.125²) for trimming. Please include instructions as to which edges bleed.
If your document has a gutter, please allow a 1/4² (.25²).
Files may be supplied on CD, Zip disk, or uploaded to your server for us to download. If you require access to our server to upload an ad, contact Michael@Klixxx.com for the information.
Ad Content Guidelines
Please read the following guidelines carefully, before submitting any materials for print or for online advertising: INCLUDE your URL in the following format somewhere in your ad so that it is live-linked in the digital format: www.domain.com.No Sexual Connotation: No persons engaged in any type of sexual activity real or simulated, alone or with a partner, including oral sex and intercourse.
No Nudity of Any Sort: No nipples (including areolas), or revealing genitalia, etc.
No Profanity: No slang/vulgar copy or wording.
KLIXXX reserves the right to censor and/or edit any and all advertising.
